Even if you belong to the anti-kitchen gadget camp I think you’d be hard pressed to pass up this handy contraption. Those pesky pits are no match for the Oxo Good Grips Cherry Pitter. Granted it’s one thing to sit down with a small snack-sized bowl of cherries or olives and daintily set aside the unsightly pits, but what if you have to neatly get the pits out of a pound of olives? Olives which you are then going to stuff with blue cheese, wrap in pastry, bake and finally serve the little darlings to 20 of your closest friends and family — smashing them with your chef’s knife probably isn’t the best idea… I bet that Cherry Pitter is starting to sound like it might fall into the must-have category. Am I right?
