Strawberry Shortcake CostumeFor a lot of women Halloween is about bringing sexy back in a big way. So instead of being a “sexy nurse” or a “sexy superhero” this year why not flaunt yourself in a Sexy Strawberry Shortcake costume? The tights alone make this look beyond fabulous and I’m sure tons of party-goers will run up to you squealing and gushing about how amazing you look and then you can all reminisce about your collection of dolls. Personally I was a big fan of Angel Cake and Blueberry Muffin too. Plus, if you’re really creative maybe you can get your date to dress up like the Purple Pie Man?

Stonyfield Farms Pumpkin Pie YogurtI found the new special edition Stonyfield Farm Pumpkin Pie Yogurt in my Whole Foods a few weeks ago, bought four cups, and savored each one thoroughly. Well…except for the one that Chris took to work with him and then forgot in his bag all day and had to throw away. I wouldn’t make such a big deal out of his momentary lapse in memory except now I can’t find it anywhere. This makes me so sad because this new yogurt is amazing! It really does taste just like pumpkin pie. In fact, I don’t even really like pumpkin pie but I was all over this. It’s spicy, creamy, and only has 170 calories and 1.5 grams of fat per cup. I think that’s probably equal to one bite of traditional pie. Please let me know in the comments if you’ve been able to find this product in your local store. It’s scheduled to be out in the world until December 2009 and then it will go back into the Stonyfield vault to make way for a new seasonal flavor.

Libby's PumpkinDid you know that there’s a canned pumpkin shortage this year? Pretty freaky, right? I bought four cans of pumpkin last week and this week the Libby’s Pumpkin is no where to be found. There’s a big supply of canned squash instead. Obviously canned squash isn’t really going to cut it in all of those pumpkin bread, muffin, and cookie recipes. Not to even mention the disaster Thanksgiving would be if we didn’t have at least one pumpkin pie on the table. So what are you waiting for? Go forth and pillage some pumpkin before it’s too late!

Mac-N-Cheese CostumeWho doesn’t love Macaroni and Cheese? It’s the ultimate comfort food and now your child can be a walking/talking reminder to all your neighbors of this favorite dinner dish. After they toss some Junior Mints into little Sally’s trick-or-treat sac I bet Mr. Wilson’s next move will be straight for the Kraft Blue Box, or if he’s a little more ambitious a cheese grater.  If this costume came in adult sizes I would so wear it, if only for the goofy noodle hat.

Halloween SprinklesThe pressure to make festive desserts for all the holidays can be intense. However, if you give yourself permission to relax and go with the flow making themed treats is as easy as shaking on a few well placed toppings. This selection of six Halloween Sprinkles will quickly put the “boo” back in your baked goods. Dash your cookies and cakes with an array of black and orange nonpareils, Halloween confetti, pumpkins or black, orange and purple sugars. Save the anxiety for scary movies; not your oven.

Halloween Haunted House KitI can’t think of a better way to kick-off Halloween than with a creepy edible Haunted House project. Whether you live with children, parents, or roommates, everyone in your home will enjoy this whimsical kit. Make a mess, make a masterpiece, or simply dig into the candy corn. Everything you need to create a scary seasonal centerpiece is included from jet black icing to jack-o-lanterns. You’ll have to break out the Ouija board though if you want any real spirits to inhabit your gingerbread house. The dearly departed are sold separately.
