Starbucks Candy Cane Cold CupWhat would the holiday season be without some new Starbucks drinkware? Traditionally, holidays means the hot beverage Red Mug. We’ve covered Holiday-themed Starbucks Mugs in the past. This year, Starbucks takes the heat out of the equation by offering a Cold Cup!

The Starbucks Candy Cane Cold Cup Tumbler (Venti shown – $14.95, also available in Grande) is a must have for the Starbucks enthusiast. For the times that you just don’t want a hot beverage, this double-walled cup keeps your drink cold and your hand warm while the signature candy cane straw keeps you in the holiday spirit. An optional dome lid allows you to top it off with whipped cream.

Want a gift set that includes extra straws and the dome lid? Just like the straws? Those and more are also available on the Starbucks Seasonal Gifts page.

Sir Kensington's Gourmet Scooping KetchupI’ve never been a big ketchup person, at least when talking about traditional varieties and applications. But when a ketchup like Sir Kensington’s Gourmet Scooping Ketchup comes around with such personality and sense of style, I am immediately intrigued.

Sir Kensington’s is made from quality ingredients, including vine-ripened pear tomato puree, honey, apple cider vinegar, and chipotle and cayenne peppers. Noticeably absent is, as they point out, High Fructose Corn Syrup. The ingredients put in (and left out) make for a ketchup that is not only healthier (33% fewer calories and 75% less sugar), but also one that they consider a “higher caliber.”

I’ve had the chance to taste Sir Kensington’s, and found it to indeed be a step above traditional ketchups. The Classic formula that I tried has almost a cocktail-sauce flavor to it and makes a fantastic complement to everything that I put it on.

Sir Kensington’s is available in Classic and Spiced Varieties through their online shoppe, as well as select retailers.

Three SheetsThree Sheets is the show we love to love. In Three Sheets, our intrepid host Zane Lamprey travels the world drinking so you don’t have to. Along the way he meets strange and interesting people and teaches us, the viewers, a thing or two about the local drinking customs, how that region’s signature beverages are made, and even a hangover cure or two.

We here at Yummery have been following Zane’s travels since he was on the little known and ill-fated MOJO HD network. After MOJO went off the air, a tremendous fan outreach program helped Three Sheets find a new home on The Fine Living Network, where its fourth season is now airing.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch Three Sheets, fear not! You can now purchase the first three seasons in a newly released Box Set, as well as in individual seasons (Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4). You can also watch them online at both Hulu as well as Fine Living’s Website.

GUS Ginger Ale

One of the best contributions I’ve made to our foodie household was the day I first stumbled upon Grown Up Soda at our local Whole Foods. Since then a few bottles have been a mainstay in our refrigerator.

Grown Up Soda, or “Gus” for short, is a beverage for those looking for a taste that isn’t as sweet as conventional sodas, but have more flavor than seltzer waters. Gus beverages are also 100% natural, each lightly sweetened with natural cane sugar. While this means there’s no explicit diet option, it also means they’re less calorie laden than their traditional counterparts, weighing in at 90-98 calories per serving.

Gus comes in a wide range of flavors, including Dry Cola, Dry Cranberry Lime, Dry Valencia Orange, and our personal favorite, Extra Dry Ginger Ale. They can be enjoyed on their own right out of the bottle, or in a more “grown up” manner as part of one of the featured cocktail recipes found on their site.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale

Fall has historically been a sad time in our home. Fall usually means the end of Summer, meaning not only is it time to put away the shorts, sandals, and beach towels, but also to say goodbye to Sam Adams’ fantastic Summer Ale. You see, we were never able to find a beer for the Fall that we were as excited about as we were Summer Ale in the Summer.

Until now.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale, from the Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, Maine has a great flavor encompassing various spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. It definitely has that great pumpkin pie smell and taste we love, though it may not be for everyone. For those people, Shipyard has another beer, the Smashed Pumpkin, which has milder flavors and may be more to their liking.

This beer has definitely solidified a place in our hearts and homes come every Fall, almost to the point we look forward to seeing the leaves change. If you’d like to try Shipyard for yourself, head on down to your local store to find some, but act fast, as its only available through the end of October.

Sam Adams Boston Lager GlassOne of the great lesser known things to do while visiting Boston is to take a trip to the Samuel Adams Brewery for a tour of their facility. Upon finishing the tour (and subsequent beer tasting) you are ushered into the gift shop for an opportunity to buy a set of Samuel Adams Boston Lager Glasses. Now even if you can’t make it to Boston any time soon you can have a set of these for your home thanks to the internet. Specially engineered to elevate the craft beer drinking experience,” the Boston Lager glasses are meant to be paired with Sam Adams’ Boston Lager, but can be enjoyed with any great beer, making it the perfect gift for the beer nut in your family.
